Rebecca believes that everyone has a beautiful voice. (Yes, tone deaf shower singers included!) You just gotta sometimes use a few tricks and tips to bring it out. She knows what it’s like to want to sing something so badly, but not be able to quite reach the notes or have the desired volume. Singing is a journey and boy has it been a journey for her. Starting out as a natural singer with a ‘Big Belty Voice’ turned into not having any control over her voice after going through puberty and attempting to sing really softly and ‘blend’ in a choir. It has been a journey ever since, reclaiming that natural sound. While this has meant many frustrating hours of practice and countless singing lessons in Melbourne and New York, it has lead to the joy of having a successful performance career for over 15 years. Most importantly it means she has the compassion and understanding of what her students are feeling as she has been there herself. She has studied extensively under Andrew M Byrne (author of ‘The Singing Athlete’) in New York and is now undertaking the wonderful journey to becoming an Estill Voice Master Trainer. (Current level of certification is ‘Certificate in Figure Proficiency.’) Most importantly, Rebecca loves to have fun and is passionate about teaching and working on songs and styles that her students really want to sing or play. She teaches piano and singing to kids as young as 6 to kids as young as 80 in her Albury Home Studio. She has all the relevant police checks and a Working With Children Check. Check out her ‘Contact’ page to get in touch or for more information. Rebecca is currently taking a break form teaching so she can perform again and isn't taking on new students.
